Let’s talk about covering grey roots. Only have 3 mins? Watch my how-to video using one of my favorite products.
What causes grey hair
Well, it’s confession time my friends. I am fully grey. Yup, you read that right. I got my first grey hair when I was sixteen and from what I’ve read genetics played a big role. Put your hand up if you always thought it’s stress-related. Well, according to Elizabeth Cunnane Phillips it’s not entirely true.
Elizabeth Cunnane Phillips, a trichologist at the Philip Kingsley Clinic in New York City, told HuffPost, “The majority of gray hair is genetic, but if the person is predisposed to gray hair, stress will make it appear sooner.”
Why cover grey roots
Some people look and feel totally fine going grey. They have absolutely no reason covering grey roots and to them, I say “good for you my friend”! I, however, am definitely NOT ready to let myself go grey naturally. If you’re like me, this VIDEO is for you.
Three ways to cover grey roots
1.) In this VIDEO I’m covering grey roots with Bumble and Bumble’s Hair Powder in the colour blondish. It’s a spray powder, much like a dry shampoo. Just watch how fast and easy it can be.
2.) I wear a hat because it is, useful, stylish and fun! Over the years I’ve become a lover of hats, keeping my day-old grey hair safe from view. Trust me when I tell you, there is a hat out there for everyone. You may even find it becomes part of your signature style.
3.) Change your part or pull your hair back into a bun or ponytail. To prolong the inevitable hair appointment sometimes all you need is to change your part or pull all of your hair back into a different hairstyle.
